The HTC 7 Surround is powerful Windows Phone 7 smartphone with 5-megapixel camera and 1GHz processor.

Design
The HTC Surround measures in at 4.7 inches tall by 2.4 inches wide by 0.5 inch thick and 5.82 ounces. It has a 3.8-inch, 480x800 pixels touch screen. The back, Start, and search keys are below the display. The volume rocker and a camera button are on the right spine, and a power button and 3.5mm headphone jack are on top of the device. There is a camera on back.

Multimedia
The smartphone has a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and video-recording capabilities. The picture quality is not bad, and video looked a bit hazy. The object is clear defined but with a a bluish-gray hue. There isn't a slide show option built into the Picture hub.

Call Features/Quality
Its call quality is decent. The audio was clear and voices sounded rich without any type of distortion.

Memory/Storage
The HTC Surround has 16GB of onboard memory with 512MB ROM and 448MB RAM, but lacks an expansion slot.

Battery
The smartphone has a 1,230mAh lithium ion battery with a rated talk time of 250 min and up to 255 hours of standby time.
