The good:
The HTC Desire drives a beautiful look with a large, bright touchscreen. It includes a 3.5mm headphone jack, a 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus, LED flash and video recording capabilities. 3G support, GPS and a speakerphone are also included in.
The bad:
The HTC Desire's AMOLED screen is hard to see in sunlight, and the battery life could be longer.
The bottom line:
The HTC Desire is without doubt the best touchscreen smartphone I have ever seen, the screen is simply stunning, the sensitivity of the screen is excellent and sensitive. The form factor of the device is big and the build quality is good.
Design -The HTC Desire possesses the sleek, minimalist good looks that you'd expect from a touchscreen phone. It boasts slim profile, smooth lines, and the soft touch material. The size is suitable at 119 x 60 x 11.9 mm, the weight is 135g. It has a 3.7 inches AMOLED capacitive touchscreen showing 16M colors with a 480x800 pixels resolution.
Features and performance - The biggest draw of the the HTC Desire is the inclusion of HTC's Sense skin, which covers the Android 2.1 operating system in an attractive user interface, adding some extra features and making everything feel more polished. At the same time, it possesses full HTML Browser, Bluetooth, SMS(threaded view), MMS, Push Email, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a speakerphone.
Battery - The HTC Desire has a 1,400mAh lithium ion battery, which has a rated talk time battery life of 6 hours 40 minutes (6 hours 30 minutes on 3G) and up to 340 hours of (360 hours on 3G)standby time.
