Design
The Touch HD measures in at 4.3 inches tall by 2.4 inches wide by 0.4 inch thick and 5.1 ounces. It has a 3.8-inch WVGA (480x800 pixels) touch screen and QWERTY keyboard. Below the display, there are several of the standard phone controls, including Talk and End keys, a Home shortcut, and a back button. On the left side, there is a volume rocker, and a 3.5mm headphone jack, a power button are on top of the unit, its mini USB port on the bottom. The camera and speaker are located on the back. Its design is stylish and sleek.

Multimedia
The Touch HD has a 5-megapixel camera with video-recording capabilities. It has six resolutions, four quality settings, white balance and brightness controls. The picture quality is not bad. It is difficult to get a clean shot indoors. Its multimedia player is the standard Windows Media player with support for album art, shuffle, repeat, and full-screen video.

Call Features/Quality
Its call quality is decent. The audio was clear and voices sounded rich without any type of distortion.

Memory/Storage
The HTC Touch HD has 512MB ROM and 288MB RAM, and it also have a microSD expansion slots and ships with an 8GB card.

Battery
The smartphone has a 1,350mAh lithium ion battery with a rated talk time of 8 hours and up to 18 days of standby time.
