The Softpedia reported that Mozilla Foundation's browser brand, Firefox for mobilephone (code-named "Fennec") will release its 2.0 version, and the Maemo, MeeGo OS-based mobile phone could be its first users, thereby expanding the platform of Fennec. Mozilla executives Matt Brubeck said, the latest Fennec 2.0 alpha will come in the next few weeks.

Following on from the excellent performance of Fennec in Android OS, the latest Fennec will feature function upgrade and version update, and promote it to iOS and other mobile phone operating system.
The most important improvement of Fennec 2.0 is the "Electrolysis", with excellent rendering and Javascript decoding capability, it will give users unprecedented browsing experience. The main features are:
1. Firefox sync, that can synchronize mobile phones or desktop machine's tag pages, bookmarks, history, and you don't need install any extender.
2. Find-In-Page, the shortcut key "Control+F" to "Find in Page" function.
3. link sharing, including Twitter, Facebook, Google Reader, email, etc. (the release version allows using Android applications to share the link).
4. Autofilling using information from your address book.
5. Add Multi-touch gestures, optimize Multi-touch operations and the touch interface.
