The good: The Epic 4G has a large Super AMOLED touch screen, a 1GHz processor, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, a six axis accelerometer, and it also supports Sprint's 4G WiMax network.
The bad: The GPS could be better, and it is pricey.
The bottom line: The Samsung Epic 4G is a multimedia powerhouse in the Samsung Galaxy S series, and it features the other Galaxy S phones don't have, such as a slide-out keyboard, a front-facing camera, 4G WiMax network supports. But it also has a big price tag.
Design
The BlackBerry Torch measures 4.9 inches tall by 2.54 inches wide by 0.56 inch thick and weighs 5.46 ounces, it is tight fit in pockets. The Epic 4G has a slide-out physical keyboard and a 4.0-inch Super AMOLED display, and it looks great even under bright sunlight. Its QWERTY keyboard with five whole rows of keys is spacious.
Multimedia
The Epic 4G features a five megapixel camera with an LED flash. The camera is capable of recording
HD video in720p, and there is also a front facing video camera for the video chat. Its picture quality is pretty impressive. Its music player with 5.1-channel surround sound is good, and you can load music via USB or microSD.
Call Features/Quality
The Call quality is very good. The sound is clear and loud, but is has a tiny bit of voice distortion in the conversation.
Memory/Storage
The smartphone has 1GB of internal memory and its expansion slot can accept up to 16GB cards.
Battery
The Samsung Epic 4G has a 1,500mAh lithium ion battery with a rated talk time of 7.5 hours and up to 21 days of standby time.
