The
Android 2.3.4 gingerbread based
CyanogenMod 7.1 rom is to download available on
HTC Inspire 4G. If you are HTC Inspire 4G users, and you want to enjoy the conveniences brings by android 2.3.4, especially the google talk based video call without wifi function, you need to install the CyanogenMod 7.1 ROM developed by Cyanogen. Follow the guide here. Before you do anything, please make a backup for your HTC Inspire 4G.
How to Flash HTC Inspire 4G With CyanogenMod 7.1 Android 2.3.4 ROM
Step 1: If you haven't root your HTC Inspire 4G, you will need to unlock it.
Note: Root the HTC Inspire 4G will lost the warranty.
Step 2: Install a Custom Recovery Image.
Step 3: If necessary, you can flash you radio to the latest version.
Step 4: Launch RomManager. If you don't have, just download the ROMManager from the android market.
Optional: Choose the first option in the app, Flash ClockworkMod Recovery to update to the latest version.
Step 5: Select the Download ROM option from the main menu in the ROM Manager.
Step 6: Select the CyanogenMod option -choose the latest version of CyanogenMod.
Optional: When you select the latest version of CyanogenMod, check the Google Apps* option.
Step 7: After the CyanogenMod ROM is finished downloading, it will ask if you would like to Backup Existing ROM and Wipe Data and Cache.
Step 8: If Superuser prompts for root permissions. Check to Remember and then give the permission.
Step 9: The HTC Inspire 4G will now reboot into the recovery.
Step 10: Wipe data and cache (strongly recommended), and then install CyanogenMod.
When it's finished installing, your HTC Inspire 4G will reboot into CyanogenMod.
